Glad I'm not an admin.
What would be better is having it do it after a round end. If the teams are stacked bad enough that someone needs to use the command I'd imagine the round not lasting too long. This way it would appear the teams were just auto balanced and few people might catch on to what happened.

Instead of bitching about it why don't you just, yknow, play and have fun? Long as they're not abusing the stack by spawncamping(Which has happened once on Well recently...and I was on the camped team but it was also the most fun I'd had in a long time, trying toclear the fucking rats out of our attic only to have them keep coming back before we could establish a bigger defense...but we never lost either cuz of like 8 SGs in the int room lol)
Point is...nothing you can try to do will ever fix this, in part due to how many good people we have here in general. One side will always dominate the other, period. Quit trying to complicate things because once in awhile it's too stacked and you didn't get on the team before it was too late(And don't deny it...I can count on one hand the number of people who willingly join the anti-stack team out of the dozens if not hundreds we have)
Not everything has a fix; not everything is a problem. There are some things you simply have to accept and make the best of ;p |

| | Re: Team Stacking I agree with Drayth. There's really nothing you can do to fix it while keeping everyone happy. It's just what ends up happening when you have a community that knows each other, and knows who all the good players are. Chances are, all the regulars will try to join one side, while all the newbies will just join the other side because they don't have a clue about who the good players are. It's just something that we all have to deal with. |

I like earning wins and not rolling the other team over and over. So i always avoid playing with the stack because I actually give a shit if the other team has fun. I can't even really have any fun if the other team isn't.
And in the other fps games I play (q3, savage) I can just balance the teams by joining the other side. TF2 doesn't really let that happen though, kinda setup for teamwork.
And joining a specific team just because there's good players on it makes you pretty sad tbh. |

Some people only come in for a quick 30 minute game. For these people joining the winning team is just a way to have some fun. Not everyone takes it as serious as others. If I'm on a very limited amount of playing time I'm more likely to try to end up on the team doing the best so I can get the most out of the time I have. But if I'm going to sit out and play for 3-4 hours I'm likely to care less about which team I'm on as long as I'm having fun.

I also find that a lot of times the team full of friends gets to screwing around with their sprays and other jackassery and lose. I know it's frustrating when its stacked but I generally find some of the better players will jump to another team if it gets ridiculous. My personal rule is if the team I am on blasts through one round and I know it wasn't a fluke, I will switch up teams. Not that I make a difference but I feel like I tried to do something. |

Some people do join teams to win but for the most part I think the hardcore regs join whatever team and just deal with the outcome.

This is the -v- forums right? The whole "well the -v- stacks never win" is kinda BS. They win more than they lose depending on who is on the team. That is the point of this whole thing. I will agree 75% of the -v-'s are kinda "oohhhh pretty sprays", but the other 25% who can't stand the possibility of that 10% chance they may lose, are the ones that are being bitched about. No biggie. It's their choice. I actually enjoy having the list of dominations pop up on my screen each night. Just more of a challenge to do with no medic. No engi who has a clue. No team who knows how to kill a lvl 1-2 sentry to save their lives. How boring is it to just roll a team in 5 mins? Been there.. done that.. its f'n boring. Playing any class. Playing on the short bus is the new COOL!!
Actually. Come back wardragon. You know savage is dead as hell. (and BS that you didn't stack in savage . Lightning only teams, almost?). Truth be told those few that enjoy the anti stack are more then enough for those who stack. Just all about becoming the new stack! |
