    Exclamation Dodgeball Server Rotations

    The purpose of this thread is to inform players of the DB server rotations and to provide a place for discussing any additions or removals.

    Mappers should also request rotation updates for new versions of maps already in the rotation here.

    Map time limits available for discussion and change.

    Thanks for this thread that is, frankly, quite useful and will, hopefully, be up to date. As for discussion on Addition/Removal, I think that dbs_snowforest_b3 should be a bit shorter. It has the workings of a, at the least, decent map, it's just that how the map is at this point in time, it becomes quite monotonous pretty quickly. Maybe about 15 minutes instead of the usual 20?

    Or perhaps it would be better to put a map or multiple maps between snowforest and pingpong? Those maps are quite similar, in the sense that red and blu are divided by a center line. Just my two cents.

    Mountain and Towers are the 2 maps that seem to empty the server the most from what I see on the server. I can tolerate Towers but with Mountain a majority of the time I disconnect. For me personally it cause you end up with a lot of 1v6,7,8 since people rush the control points and then get hit by a nuke. Funny to watch though to be honest :P With it coming after 2 really good maps the regulars tend to head for the exits when they see Mountain.

    I did see the server empty a bit on Space Invaders last night over time, but I have not played too much of that map lately to see how its been doing overall.

    Just finished up dbs_risers and need it to be uploaded. Link is here.

    On the subject of the rotation, I would say that warfield should be removed as it is just a mess. Space invaders should also be removed in my opinion or at least reduced to 10 minutes. I I personally think the time on bowser's revenge should be reduced to 15 minutes but that's just me.

    I agree with Exile that bowser's revenge needs to either be shortened or removed. I would personally prefer that map to be a multirocket map because of all the space available. dbs_cowlevel needs to replace dbs_pingpong since it's basically two ping pong courts with transparent grounds, and that pretty much removes most of the monotony. If not cowlevel, then at least db_ freeway. db_pit needs to be extended to at least 30 minutes since it's pretty much the best map ever

    Also, because 3/13 maps in the speed rotation are nuke only, I suggest putting in dbs_stackednukes to help even out the ratio.

    Uploaded dbs_risers_b2 and db_bunnyhop_a3 for testing today.

    FYI: Some maps uploaded recently (last couple weeks) might be ready for rotation, but I never got a sign from the mapper that they thought their map was ready for the rotation in it's current state. If you consider your map fully updated for the most part, then speak up and we will test it again or add it to the rotation.

    Yeah I agree that Bowser's Revenge and Snowforest should be shortened to 15 minutes.
