Default Favorite beer?

I hope this doesn't get locked...

I'm a beer afficienado. I've tried damn never everything that's ever been brewed commercially. I have 200+ different beer bottles on shelves around my apartment. Everything from New Belgium, Avery, Bells, Sam Adams, Schlafly, Boulevard, Goose Island, Dogfish Head, Blue Moon, Fort Collins, Rogue, Unibrou, Flying Dog, Odell, Left Hand, Ommegang, etc. You name it, I've probably had it.

Since most of the people on the servers are of drinking age, I figured I'd try and redeem myself by making a somewhat interesting thread. I think that your favorite beer says a lot about you, but I also drink a lot, so that's probably not true at all.

SO LET'S HEAR IT, YOUR FAVORITE BEER IS ______. (Fill in the blank)

My favorite is Bell's Two Hearted Ale with Left Hand Milk Stout in a close second.

Okay...since we're limited to beer I'm gonna have to say Bard's Tale. Though I prefer Woodchuck cider or hard liquor over it.

I always have a 30 of Bud Light in my refrigerator just because I see it as a universal beer that few people will bitch about when they come over. If you walk in my house and I say "Want a beer?" "Sure what do you have?" "Bud Light" if you start crying you have to leave. You are getting free beer don't be a bitch. Anyway moving on!

St. Pauli Girl
Redstripe
I love most Sam Adam's but I usually wait and only buy the seasonal packs because they have (IMO) the best variety and taste.
There is another beer that I can't think of the brand but its some sunshine wheat lager that is also very awesome.
Guinness on occasion is alright but the damn things fill me up too fast.

In the end I can't choose one beer. In fact other than Bud Light I usually buy something different each time. I used to have a crazy obsession with Ice beers until I found out that non Ice beer was not getting the job done because I was used to the higher alcohol content.

Ice House makes this happen (was wishing our friend who was in Florida happy birthday:

I agree with Sobe's statement about Sam Adams' variety packs. Also thought its funny that i've played beer pong the same way as you're pictured in that photo, a beer case over the head with a hat on top. And for the record I always won...

Honestly not a big drinker and I usually stick to wine or straight drinks. But there are times when I love a good beer, or several.

I like most beers, but not so much Bud Lite, Miller Lite or Icehouse. All lead my head to a righteous ache.

My list would be:
Heineken
Lowenbreau
Harp or Harp/Guinness B&T
St. Pauli Girl
Kirin Ichiban
Modelo Especial

I've never tried it but someone drives a delivery van that drops their kid off at school the same time as I do that is wrapped with signage for a beer called Unibreau. Mike Myers would be proud.

All-around favorite beer: Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout
Beers I've been drinking lots of lately: Stone Brewing Co's Arrogant Bastard Ale and Ruination IPA
Favorite "drinkable" (read: can drink lots of it and/or for a long time) beer: Stella Artois

Damn do I wish I could get Dogfish Head beers out here. Or Bells. Or Michigan Brewing Company.

Belgian pale ale beers such as the one from the Brasserie de Rochefort along with a few white Belgian beers and gueuze.

Since I moved here I didn't drink any beer so I have no idea of what American beers taste like. Maybe I should work on that!

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale has been my favorite for awhile, though last night I tried my first IPA (Harpoon) and it was pretty tasty. Gonna have to check out more of that style.

Oh, and we did have another beer thread not too long ago if you wanna check though that one too.

Just remember there is nothing American about Budweiser's American Ale and we should not be judged by it.

ah finally something i know a lot about.....

Okay you are all wrong.

the best beer in the world is Sam Smiths Old brewery Bitter, still delivered in an oak cask and served under its own yeast produced CO2 pressurised goodness in a handful of pubs across Britain.

I challenge anyone to drink an pint of it and not have a beer epiphany, its possibly the nicest liquid on the planet

It will change your entire bodies flora and fauna, you may well react badly to the live yeast still in the beer, but its worth it!

you may shit yourself the next morning, but its worth it.

this is the best tasting beer on the planet, trust me

however: you know whats ironic, in my local bar in boston, I drink a bud light with a slice of lemon in it. I call it the blue collar Corona!

That is true about yeast. There is not a laxative in this world that can compete with what yeast will do to you. I have so many horror stories about getting drunk and throwing down home brewed beers with yeast still in the bottom of them.
