| |  Just got back from the first day of college and...
...I didn't think it was possible to die of boredom until this day. Things better get exciting fast or I don't think I'll make it past Thanksgiving.
Edit : Plus it sucks that all the desks are right handed. |

I remember my first several weeks of college...Diablo II until my eyes bled, gave it up... More beer than should be consumed by a group of people, let alone one individual... 9/11... fun times. (three things that make me sick just thinking about =p)
If you're bored you need to get OUT of the apartment/dorm room/house/cardboard box and meet people! (bearing in mind that you ARE there to study and boredom comes with that)

First day is usually kinda boring, with review of he syllabus and class policies and stuff. There's still some hope perhaps . . . until the second class at least.
Talk to people and find out who the good profs are. Try to take their classes next semester. |

On a completely opposite note, my first day was awesome despite the 140-mile round trip I have to do 3 times a week. Thank God I remembered to bring an armful of CDs.
Edit: If you're left handed, the University is not accommodating your needs by only utilizing right-handed desks. This puts you at an unfair disadvantage when compared with the majority students. I'm pretty sure they can buy (if they don't already have) a few left-handed or ambidextrous desks. I don't believe they have the right to refuse.

College and/or University will be the best time of your life, I guarantee it. The life of a student is, well, simply put, awesome. It takes a few months to get used to at first, but once you get into the swing of things, it's all glory from there. Believe me, I've been there.

It can't be that bad... From what I can remember from being at uni, through my drink addled memories, it was - as Chrono put it - awesome. Studying sucks, that's a given, but the fun you have and the people you meet more than make up for it. |
