Its kinda like the ultimate college football IMO. They make money but not like the uber pro's. They do it for the love of that GOLD! I actually enjoy keeping up with some of the athletes in between each summer Olympics. Maybe i just need to move to Cali and find me a Christa who used to be named Chris. |

Me I'm not so gay for the Olympics, but I was mesmerized by the opening ceremonies tonight. Good god those Chinese can put on one helluva unique show. Never seen anything like it in Olympic history. It is kinda cool how it's all about the gold and how hard the athletes work for so many years just for that one moment every four years. Inspiring stuff, especially when it's athletes who battle so much adversity in their lives.
Oh and I wouldn't tango with the trannies in Cali. Way too much attitude. |

When they point out that 28 years ago (i think it was.Too busy going "WTF?") Canada didn't win a single gold medal. What that had to do with the opening of the Olympics I have no f'n clue. 30 years ago? Really? Is that all they have to discuss?
The president ( duuuuuhhhhbwa bush) is there. Would think they would talk about him a lil bit more. |

Now that he'll be leaving office soon after these next elections there's probably not much fun left. Canada, however, is always fun to make fun of as an American. =P

I would like have a hierarchy of countries I thought were cool and would root for them if the US wasnt in the event and even so sometimes I would still root for em. Always liked to cheer for countries like Japan, Brazil, China, Canada, and some other ones.
The last winter olympics were fucking awesome to watch and now that I have HD for the basic channels these olympics are going to own.

I must admit the opening ceremony was pretty badass (though I saw it a week ago online, final rehearsal leaked-yay internet.), but it will probably be the only part of the olympics I will be making an effort to watch this year

that'll get you SICK drunk btw ;

I was in Korea form '86 to '88, so I got to see 1988 Summer Olympics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. It was really awesome. I saw quite a few events live, including the infamous Roy Jones, Jr. fight - he whipped that Koreans ass! Also saw one Flo Jo race, Ben Johnson win, Greg Louganis bust his head open, Matt Bondi take Silver (to that guy that won his country's fist medal ever) and the last Olympic basketball game played without NBA players.
Remind me again, what part of that kind of action is gay? These people train their entire lives to be in peak condition and what they can do is amazing. And... the opening ceremony last night was fucking phenomenal! |

I don't know how China got the nod for the Olympics.I haven't really been paying attention - but has there been any protests of any kind about the Olympics recently? I figured there had to be somewhere. I remember hearing about them when China got chosen. |

Even the world made fun of America's intelligence for re-electing him.
