Anyways, way back when CS was in b2, my buddy was showing me his "awesome new game", so we got the game loaded up, and we were getting ready to play when he said I needed a nick name, so after looking around the room for a name and trying out lavalamp, carpet, halogen, sharpie, staples, newspaper, wite out, energizer, and many other names, he looked at the case to my glasses and we went with it. Kinda stuck throughout the years, too lazy to change it.
Nothing to do with the matrix.

My name is a quaint Islamic name meaning "blessed by God". I'm not a Muslim, but I do suppose that answers if I am "religious" and also a gamer

I am not religious now, but was raised going to bible study every Friday and church every Sunday until I was 14...so I don't do religion myself, but blatantly sacrilegious actions / sayings still do bring about a wince-n-cringe reaction. |

haff came from a very drunken mispronunciation/brain fart I had about 17 years ago, people started calling me it, I named one of my cats haff (still alive back in the old country - Ireland) and have always used it as a gaming handle (or haf for high score tables that only allowed three characters back in the day). as far as religion goes, was raised a Catholic (I am Irish so what a surprise) but have long since gone atheist... but yeah, rave on! |

Elvish for "The exiled". It's been my gamer tag for... ... at least 8 years now. I adopted this name over my old one when an old friend of mine died in a car accident, and was very depressed/alone, so, the exiled seemed to fit. It means a lot to me, so I'm sure it's here to stay.
FuNk from ... something... rememebr it had something to do with NS and Thaff D: not sure beyond that. Just too lazy to change it i guess.

Well since someone else brought this thread back up I'll tell you why i have mine. I started using this in 2004 and it seemed stick, Karina is taken from the name of an actress I like (Karina Lombard) and Ferrer comes from the last name of the character she played on the Showtime's The L Word (Marina Ferrer). So I put the two together, I have gotten so use to people calling me this online that if someone called me it on the street I would most likely answer to it. |
