Thanks to the donations, we now have our very own TF2 server!
No shortcuts!
No 'special deals'
This entire box is OURS, and will remain so as long as we can afford to maintain it. I will probably try to find someone willing to rent out the additional space we don't need to help pay for the server.
I have setup 2 TF2 servers.
One of them is standard, the other one is 2fort only.
tf.voogru.net
tf2.voogru.net
I was going to put a low gravity server for kicks, but it appears there is no sv_gravity cvar anymore (wtf?).
The plugins will hopefully come shortly, just waiting for the proper SDK updates from valve. They gave some stuff out, but forgot to give out other stuff thats still needed. It seems they made some rather large changes, but the code will port over once I have all of the updates. |

Great to hear. It would be appreciated for those of you who are regs, please hang around the server if it is empty so that it can fill up. As Voogru has stated, we don't want the servers being one of those empty servers all the time. I guarantee your willingness to help will not go unnoticed.

Fyi, Always use the hostnames, rather then the IP's.
I just realized they put me in Houston and I'm trying to get switched to Dallas which seems to get much better pings accross the board, so the IP's might change once. |

Is it running now? My DNS server isn't resolving tf2.voogru.net or tf.voogru.net (or even voogru.net for that matter).
Edit: Not seeing it on the server list, either.

Yeah, the dallas box gets much better pings then houston, so it was worth the switch. |

TF2 is supposed to be 30 bucks standalone, so for $15 more it will get your portal and HL2: Episode 2. It almost seems like a rip to buy these games seperate, so I'd recommend getting them while they're all cheap together.
