Playing the first game again on the PC, once I'm done with it'll I'll be grabbing ME2 for the PC since I liked the controls better. I just hope they learned their lesson with ME one with the 360/PC version and made the inventory system better (the 360 one was horirble but they fixed it for PC) Also, I hope they balance out the "money you have vs what shops carry" thing. Nothing more irritating then going "Man I need a slight upgrade and I have 3000" only to find every shop you can get to carries the 20k armors at the beginning of the game.

I would have preordered this 4 months ago if money wasnt an issue. I had to choose Bioshock 2 over this but theres no way in hell I wont be getting it within the coming months. I loved the first way too much.

[Mass Effect 1 spoilers follow]

I just beat Mass Effect 1 yesterday. Fun game, a simplified version of Babylon 5. Reapers in the place Shadows, Saren in the place of the Centaurans, "dark space" instead of Z'ha'dum... They even cheated in that the Protheans did pretty much everything for them!

I'm hoping to remain unspoilered until I pick it up in the 2011 Holiday sale for $5.

I got it 2 days ago when it launched, been playing it a ton...other than a few changes from ME1 control/hotkey-wise being below par, words cannot describe the awesome, Bioware's really outdone itself. I'd be tempted to call it "Best Game Ever" and I'm not even done recruiting everyone or making them loyal yet...they put -that much- effort into the story and even the little details and non-essential NPC conversation, especially a couple of them in your return trip to the Citadel(Not technically a spoiler since, cmon, you know you'd go back there one way or another)

Also not a spoiler, but highly entertaining and related to aforementioned humor/effort on Bioware's part: (The video skips more than actual gameplay does, dunno why it's so choppy)

I've been playing it off and on all day and I love the game. Defintely worth the buy and i haven't played a sci-fi based game in ages. Didn't play the first game and still not sure how to hack yet but otherwise a very fun game. Recommended!

Move the highlighted box with WASD, and look for a box matching what you see at the top in the middle, then hit space.

So they got rid of the get the triangle to the middle of the concentric circles while avoiding the blocks 'game'? I hated that thing.

Yeah hacking in the first game was cool up until the second time you hacked something. Then each of the next 23904502345032 times you did it got progressively more annoying and stupid.

I've put in almost 30 hrs on this game already...it's maybe a little too addicting. it's a good thing I have some other things to do today or I might start to worry about myself. I have all of my squad at this point except for 1 slot which I have no info on, now just have to finish all of their side quests. Saving the zaeed one for last since it was addtional dlc and looks like it might take a while. Anybody know who the last sqad member is yet?
