I'm hoping multiplayer for the PS3 is a dud so I can get it for that for cheap in a year or so. Beat MW1 just a few months ago so I'm in no rush.
Edit: Apparently the single player is really short, around 5 hours. Since tomorrow is a holiday I might see if I can find it for rent anywhere.

I got it for Pc Ive only got about 4 lvls into single players and 2 hours multi, but so far I think it's great. The lack of dedicated servers is kinda gay, but the p2p system seemed to work alright so far. The new perks/ guns/ killstreak rewards are sweet. The maps I played so far are well designed, but I havent tried any of the special ops stuff yet. So far it's living up to my expectations.
Oh yeah, Cod4 is one-a my favorite fps's, I have near 14 days played multiplayer, 38000 kills, 42 max killstreak, every challenge complete with every gold gun. I played few warm up rounds to get ready for MW2, first round of Cod4 in months was Headquarters on Crossfire, I finished with 37 kills/3 deaths. I usually use Uav jammer and Extreme Conditioning with a Mp5, I run around flanking, kill a couple, hide, run out and kill, hide somewhere else, repeat as necessary. Ahhhh the memories...
It's a steam game so add me to you friends if anyone wants to group up. |

DJ is big fan of COD4, bought MW2 on steam. Wont be playing on xbox live cuz my console got banned (pretty much my fault but now that I have new computer I really don't care)
Anyway, we need to make a -V- clan tag as soon as we can.

Beat it.
Story makes absolutely no sense. What the hell. Still a ton of fun, but glad I rented, multiplayer is already getting a bit stale after 5 hours in, and it's really annoying having to re-matchmake every match. |

The sham of no dedicated servers is why I won't be buying this game. It makes no sense to me and provides almost no advantage to the customer.
I'll keep milking my COD4 copy for a while longer whenever I get the urge to play.

Played a bunch of the co-op levels on 360, was real fun. Didn't try SP or online yet though

SP is short, and I agree there are some holes in the plot line, but there are those great epic moments in the game that are cool.
I spent 2 weeks doing some play testing for Activision, and I was pretty sick of it by the end. I've never been a fan of kill streaks, and MW2 has more kill streaks.
As always, if you like the Call of Duty series, you'll like MW2. For myself even though I get the game for free. I still play TF2 when I feel like shooting peeps in the face.

As for all the CoD's, I think they're all dumb as hell because its just the same shit over and over again. Watching that video, other then slight weapon changes, etc. It looks exactly the same to me as CoD4 and MW1...so why should I pay $60 for something I already own with a different name?
