I picked this up. If it sucks, I will require someone's kneecaps. $25 worth of bashing with a baseball bat will do!

The money on expansions is quite a bit but I loved the expansions. I'll tell everyone now. Broken Steel raises your level cap to 30 and adds to the main storyline, DEFINITELY noteworthy. If you're gonna get one of the 3 area expansions (Operation Anchorage, The Pitt, and Point Lookout). I personally suggest Op Anchorage because it has a lot of new weapons that you can get in the regular game via an easy glitch. Or I would say The Pitt which also has a few really nice weapons. I just completed Point Lookout a few days ago, and until you have acquired all of the other 3 expansions (unless they're all packed together) I wouldn't suggest getting this one first. I liked all 3 of the others so much more.

I'm really enjoying the game so far. in fact all the game time I had this weekend except for about twenty minutes of drunkeness in tf2 went to this game. I like the fact that it's set up with guns and the like instead of magic.

Hey guys, I was looking online for pictures of heros others have made... But before long I found my way into Fallout3nexus's mods.

Uh... I'm definitely not looking for much, all I wanted was to make better looking heroes, and I wanted it in game, not drastic. However, I came across some mods I liked. I was wondering if anybody (DRAYTH) had comments or opinions on these mods?

Project Beauty

Saram Hair

Those were the only things I was drawn to having sorted through all the smut. Anybody got an idea that can help me out with making a nicer looking character? (In game, no drastic mods like that anime bulldoodoo. Even that Saram hair is pushing it.) Also the Saram mod, is it really as nice as it looks?

Thanksssssssssss

Project Beauty looks interesting...I've not used either mod(hell I haven't been to the site in awhile, since the GECK was released almost, since I hadn't played it a ton till recently getting The Pitt and Anchorage); I'm more for mods that affect actual aspects personally, looks are eh for me lol; like in Oblivion, there was a mod called "Obscuro's Oblivion Overhaul", didn't do much if anything to looks but it made things a ton more difficult and realistic killwise, made it more fun and less sleepwalk-through ;p There's likely something similar for F3...I'll have to go through the nexus sometime soon and see.

I do not regret making this purchase. At all. Now if I would only NOT SPOIL PLOT DETAILS I wouldn't hate myself.

I for one do not want to see any of this site's moderators or administrators without clothes.

Heh, well I restarted yesterday, so that I could restart with better stat choices. I've nearly maxed out repair and small guns (like sniping) by level 6, with medical not far behind. The game is playing a lot easier now. My son, watching me play a little, have these complaints with the game:
  1. "Wow, she looks exactly like that other girl in the vault..... oh, and her too!"
  2. "Lame, all of the guns sound the same and they have a boxy look to them."
He used to be interested in the game, but he's going to stick with CoD on the 360.

Get the Gauss Rifle from Anchorage or the Railroad Spike Gun from crafting yourself, they won't look so boxy then ;p

Anyone else have issues with lines in the opening video? I haven't started playing because I get all these stupid lines, on every video setting I've tried yet, and I'll be damned if I'm going to deal with that for an entire game.

hey Bask, no i dont get lines in any part of the game. however i do have a few programs that run on my desktop that peek thru when playing the game if i have fergotten to shut them off. if u downloaded this game via steam, try defragging the files thru the steam menu and verifying the files as well. i had bought a few of the Ubisoft games awhile ago and assasins creed would always crash midway thru the intro...... after verifying the files and such, no problem at all

hope this helps ya
