I have no idea how to build my toon, I have run into druids who put ALL of their points into one skill tree and kick ass, but I kind of was aiming for a hybrid
don't want to go that way if they suck though

The best fun in Diablo II for me was building really neat builds that went about killing in a weird but very effective way. One of my favorites was the assassin "blender" build where you use a really long reach weapon (usually a polearm), lots of crushing blow procs as well as any other status effect/elemental damage you could stack. Just turn on blade barrier and run into the fray! Boom zoom it all dices down before your eyes. I used to be pretty into the Diabloii.net community. If you want a little diablo boost before the release and need some cool build ideas. check them out.
Loot wasn't the main reason I'd play, but sometimes certain loot was required to make the build I wanted effective. Finding that perfect piece and socketing it to my specific purpose was always fun.
I can't wait to get on DIII and again hear the cries of WUG WUG WUG WUG WUG WUG WUG???!!! WUG?

btw i just finished act 1 am Th1efy | well, making a hybrid seems a bit silly, u are ussually only using 1 or two skills at a timeif you distrubute your skill points evenly, less points to those more often used skills. the best I would same is to work up shape-shifting and cyclone armor. |

They fixed it so I can now get back onto US East with the digital downloader. All of my other characters were ladder and aren't anymore, so now I'm leveling a bear druid without the help of the gear I banked. 
P.S. they are pretty bad

I can't believe Diablo II is still $20 from the Blizzard Store - you can go to the nearest bargain bin and pick it up for like $2

yeah, i'd usually get about an 80 sorc and an 80 pally before i got bored and stopped for a while. you can get there reasonably quick, but it gets pretty time consuming after that |
