My apologies if this not the right area.

Can anyone please tell me a way to mute a someone's in-game character voice? I love playing Speed Dodge Ball and play it a lot. There are some people who play just as much who have a habit of spamming "Medic!" or "Incoming!" over and over and over. I've asked if they could ease-up or not do it - or even choose a more pleasant sounding voicemenu action.

This is the only server I play where people spam character voices (besides "Medic!"). I don't want to turn down my volume as there are lots of other people I enjoy talking to.

I to wish valve had an option to mute voice commands when muting them. I know a few to where you could say that they seem like they use a script for this stuff.

Yeah, someone was spamming "Incoming" the other day for probably two hours straight. I have no problem with people using the voice commands frequently, as I do use them often. But spamming one of the more annoying ones over and over for that long is just plain griefing.

That was yesterday for me on Nuke Toss B6. Two people kept spamming "Incoming!" over and over each match.

As a medic, I don't respond until I hear at least two "Medic"s. The first one could be a reflex call, after all. By the second one I know you're serious. But, if you say "Medic!" while I'm healing you, I automatically stop -- that's just plain rude. I'm doing my job, don't act like you need someone else (i.e., someone more qualified).

This thread was more related to Speed Dodge Ball, but I understand you. As a Medic I stop healing people who spam or people that steal teleporters from me. >

Yeah, agreeing with pink, it pisses me heavily when I'm healing someone and they just still scream Medic. It pisses me off even more when someone's screaming medic, I start healing them, and they run right pass me towards a medkit in the battlefield.
