I missed this part until I re-read it. So, your basically saying we remove every map that is considered "not-good" to your standards and keep the probable 4-5 maps you actually give a s*** about in the rotation? Sorry, don't work that way. Maps that are in usually stay in, unless dumped by the MAPMAKERS request. Petitions, I'm afraid, won't work in this case.

Woah Spycheck, you seem to be getting a bit heated... Also, most of the members of the community that play Speed Dodgeball agree that Pitchblack is not that good of a map. However, and I know I'm going to be flamed for this but, I think that before we remove any of the maps that ZoSo mentioned, that one of the courts should be removed, considering people crash on them.

Bowsers and Red/Blu court should go. We only need one court. Snowfortress, well I'm divided. I think it's an OK map, but it seems to kill other people's FPS. I see a lot of people leave or not care to play on Snowfortress.

I got heated over it because we've been over this same f***ing thing over and over. Unless the mapper wants it removed or the ENTIRE COMMUNITY wants it out, it's staying in. Pitchblack is a fine map. If your too blind to see the red/blue colors, get your eyes checked. I will agree that we only need 1 court though.

With the size of the rotation currently, it might be a good idea to create a dodgeball vote_map function.

Since voogru apparently knows how to scan entities in a map judging from his entity encrypting, it should be possible to filter dodgeball maps from other normal maps. Even after that rests the problem of people voting for old and broken dodgeball maps so a system for stopping those maps would be necessary as well whether it be an admin going through them and deleting them or a black list.. It would take a lot of work to get a nice system working but I think it would be worth it at this point.

My experience with votemapping is that it rarely works for some reason. Maybe some 'voteskip' of some sort could do?

But I agree, I think maps like Bowsers and Pitchblack could be removed. Bowsers should be removed because there are already two other rectangle shaped maps (purplecourt). I think those should both stay btw, it's good to have 'normal' maps too.

Pitchblack...well..what to say, it's a timewasting map. Nukes are barely visible and since the addition of the little flashy skin/effect on the flamethrower, the whole point of the darkness is now gone, cause you can see everyone now really.

And Snowforest...it's not bad. But it's just pingpong, only wider and whiter in my opinion. And yea, it's a framerate eater.

Just my two cents.

... If anything else, Red or Blue court should go, Bowsers and the Other court should stay. 2 of the same court in different colors is not needed.

No... The purpose is to have a map where VISIBILITY IS LOW. It's the point of the damn map. Seeing your frenimies is not the point. The point is too have low rocket visibility.

foo.

Whoa dude.

I wasn't demanding anything. You didn't have to go off the deep end on me. The only reason I listed a few maps in my request is because I've heard quite a few complaints about them. I actually like platforms, its just that not many do and those that don't always tk.

You're an idiot to assume I only like 4-5 maps. I like most of them. Its just that the rotation is getting a little long in my opinion and there are a few maps that could be left out or shortened.

I guess I'll keep my fuckin mouth shut next time.

We've all heard the complaints. (Most) of us don't really care what map we're on, WE'RE REFLECTING ROCKETS DAMNIT. No reason to care where you are. The rotation getting long shouldn't matter, we get more maps in there. The only map that I believe should be taken is one of the courts. We don't need two.

Tking is going to happen anyway, get used to it.

P.S. Please don't call me an idiot, *removed*

Then why would people like Exile put so much time and effort in creating new maps? I think most of us actually DO care about maps. If it wouldn't matter what kind of map we are playing, we might as well be playing one map 24/7. I don't think you'll find a lot of support for that.

Woah, woah, woah guys! Calm down. Here's an anti-murder sandvich:

+1SANDVICH

Feel better?

With each map, players like a variety of scenery and new places to get to. A lot of us like to use different strategies on different maps. On the other hand some are just too fun to goof off in (i.e. when me, Kozy, m00, xoRfl, 100Noobs, etc go raiding your asses on Rooftops); whereas on other maps are more about pure reaction times and the ability to anticipate z'e rockets. The 3 maps I can think about from the top of my head that do not vary the user's gameplay is Red Court, Blu Court, and Bowser (although Bowser's looks fantastic).

If Bowser stays, please consider reducing the time to 10 minutes. Perhaps Red and Blu Court can be combined into one map, where each team has their color represented. Whether or not Pitch Black is another variety map, it definitely kills the roster (people leave immediately). I think Pitch Black is alright.

suckas.

I think Bowser's time is already 10 minutes.

Anyways, I've noticed that on both of the courts, people crash. I know for a fact that I do almost every time I'm on the maps.

I say we set up a poll on the forums where you can choose a certain number of maps and the 2 or 3, maybe 4, that have the least number of votes, gets taken off the rotation.

Oh, and snowforest kills my computer. Just sayin.

Nope, I don't feel better. Why? The heavies sandvich looks really disgusting.

I actually stopped playing speedball because people complain too much (Airblasting [people hate it] 'OMG THIS MAP SUCKS' etc)
