This map is based on a map idea by a dodgeball regular, Exile. I've tried my best to get his idea to work within some sort of theme and the dodgeball mechanics. So, we'll see how it turns out.
Objective:
Players are at rat scale (like db_pingpong) and are in a small pit in the wilderness somewhere. Unfortunately, someone thought it was a good spot to dump radioactive waste. Fortunately, there's a small hill in the middle that players can go to for safety.
It's not going to be as easy as it sounds though. First, you have the enemy team headed for the hill too, and they may get the idea of air blasting you into the toxic spill. Second, there's the dodgeball spawner right above the top of the hill, keeping up to 4 rockets in play. Luckily, this spawner doesn't gain speed over time. But, if you're one of the lucky last remaining players, you'll have 4 lovely rockets to dodge.
Curious to see how long players can last in this pit.

b4 (5/16/10) - Stable
+ Added more random objects.
+ Added a flare stick prop for the rocket spawner, with the rockets spawning upward. This should make it easier for players to see where the rockets spawn from.
~ Decreased the spawn speed increment quite a bit. They were incrementing like the speed dodgeball maps.
~ Decreased the starting rockets from 2 down to 1. This will provide a grandual ramp up of rockets.
+ Added more player spawns to 16 per team.
~ Smoothed out some of the terrain near red spawns.
b3 (5/13/10) - Stable
+ Added random objects that randomly spawn at the start of each round. These provide additional safe, higher areas that are not always available every round. This should reduce the staleness of the gameplay area. Some objects offer a bridge between the highest dirt mounds.
+ Increased the speed of the rising oil a tad.
+ Increased the max height of the rising oil a bit more.

+ Added a tree root and player clip in that camped corner.
~ Changed the terrain a tad to make the gameplay a little more interesting... especially in the center.
