Default best 1920x1200 monitor

It's been a while, since I've visited these forums, but I am looking into getting a new monitor and was looking for some input.

I am wanting to buy a 1920x1200 monitor, but I have no clue which would be the best choice, as there is so much choice atm. I got a slight preference to a monitor with HDMI input, but then again, dvi is easily converted, so does not matter much.

I am leaning towards the Samsung T240.

So anyone got an opinion?

Samsung is really hit or miss in my experience with computer monitors. A lot of my friends who bought them had constant problems with bleeding, they had to return it 4 times until they got one that had an acceptable or no bleed. But Samsung is pretty top of the line in my opinion so I wouldn't count them out.

I've got a Sceptre monitor right now on my desktop, and they're pretty good for the price, I've had no complaints and it's never failed me.

I'm sure you've already looked but..

I have a 20" Acer, bought from newegg and it is amazing. Shipped with no dead pixels and has had zero problems in 2 years or so of use.
Is it possible you can wait for Black Friday? There will be some insane deals this year.

Isn't bleeding an animation fault, maybe you mean Ghosting?
I've never heard of the brand Sceptre before, but I don't think they are available in Europe.
I've looked at newegg, but as I am buying it locally I mostly used:
24" TFT monitoren | Tweakers.net Pricewatch Prijzen
But with all the choice available it is hard to come to a proper choice. I can afford to spend some money on quality, so I am not out looking for the cheapest one, but I do want my money's worth of course.

Both are 1920x1080 monitors, I am looking for a 1920x1200. Main reason? Well my laptop runs at that native resolution and as I will mostly be using it in combination with my laptop, I would prefer it to have the same resoultion.

I am still in Europe for most of the time, so kinda no Black Friday here And bringing it on the plane next time would be just weird ;P

I don't think dell offers the exact same model in Europe, but the DELL E248WFP is the only 24-inch they offer over here. And for almost 500 euro's its a bit overpriced.

As I am thinking about buying the T240 for ~300 euro's or the T240HD for ~370 euro's. Think the inbuild tvtuner (and speakers) for another 70 ain't a bad thing to have.
The two-port USB-hub is kinda useless for me I think. An inbuild webcam/mic would have been nice, but far from required. And the software that lets you change the OSD-settings, seems pretty handy.
The only real reason why I am so far looking at Samsung is that I've got good experience with their lcd-tvs, in between family and their ubiquitous presence on my university.

Glad you like it, its pretty close to the T240. Looked at overclockersonline's review of the T240 and its pretty decent. Only can not find out if it VESA compatible. Want to use a monitor arm instead of a stand I think.
