Default New PC, need help

So i'm getting a new pc (well just replacing most of the stuff in my current one). I just seriously wanna make sure that everything will work fine together.

Processor: AMD Phenom Quad-Core X4 9550 2.20GHz 4MB L2+L3 Cache, 95W Socket AM2+ PIB CPU
RAM: Corsair TWIN2X4096-6400C5 4GB (2x XMS2 2GB) PC-6400 (800MHz) DDR2 RAM, 2x240-pin DIMMs, Non ECC Unbuffered, 5-5-5-15
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3 AM2+ AMD770 5200MT DDR2 PCIE2.0 RAID GbLAN 1394a ATX
GFX Card: XFX Geforce 9600GT 512MB xXx AD PCIe 2.0 PV-T94P-YHS4

And also, i'm getting a new 500w PSU.

Is there anything else i'll be needing? My current Soundcard is fine, my current HD is fine, i don't plan to overclock (at least, for now) so i don't think i'll be needing a new cooling system..

Note the prices are in AUD

How is the 8600 and 8800 series? Are they worth buying?

get an amd 4850 instead...it runs circles around either of those choices.
HIS RADEON HD 4850 PCIE 2.0 512MB 256bit GDDR3, 1986/625Mz, Dual DVI-I / D-sub /
Also...honestly, forget the quad core, & put the money into a faster dual core...nothing really supports quad right now(especially games), & the cores are only running at 2.2ghz. You will see a greater performance increase using this:AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Dual Core CPU, AM2, 3.0Ghz, 2 x 1MB L2 Cache, Boxed & its a lot cheaper.

You shouldn't need to. The board you selected says it supports AM2 Athlon X2 or Phenom. But make sure your PSU has a PCIe power connector on it . It's a 6 prong connector(well 3 in a row, 6 all together) This power supply should also be able to output at least 26A on the 12volt rail if you want it to be able to power your card comfortably.

I'd also recommend this if you don't have any handy. Arctic Silver 5 Compound (3.5g)

Here's the power requirements from Radeon for that card.

ATI Radeon HD 4850 System Requirements
o PCI Express® based PC is required with one X16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard
o 450 Watt or greater power supply with 75 Watt 6-pin PCI Express® power connector recommended (550 Watt and two 6-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode)

Remember that just because your psu can do 500 watts, doesn't mean you want it working at 500 all the time..

If you get a 4850 make sure you get one with adequate cooling...they're notorious for running warm.

Well that power supply doesn't even list anything about it other than voltages.. There's really only 2 brands you should consider for PSUs. Antec and OCZ. Course people will say that cheaper ones work fine. But psu's can and do fail.
