Default TF2 load

so anyway I notice when I play tf2 it loads entirely on my l1 cache which is @ 128kb, I would like it to run on my l2 cache which is @ 1 mb or 2x512kb, Is it bad that it runs entirely on the l1? and is it possible to make it run on my l2? I'm also thinking it might be contributing to the excess heat when i play as well, my cpu goes from 49 idle to a toasty 58 when playing.
so the pic is pretty blurry and i've graciously spray painted a circle for the graph i'm using it says @ 46% in the pic but its usually @ 70 - 80% normally (paint ftw)
cpu : amd 3800+ dual core Manchester
l1 - 2x64
l2 - 2x512
FSB speed is slightly OC'ed @ 2.3GHz

I think you mean HyperTransport, since you're running AMD, not FSB.

Depending on which 3800+ x2 you have, 58 Celsius isn't that bad. As you can see, the max temps run from 70-78 Celsius. If you really want to lower the temp then I'd recommend either buying a new CPU Heat-Sink Fan, reapplying arctic silver 5 or better thermal compound, and/or purchasing and installing new/better case fans.

I'm actually running my 3800+ on socket 939 so i think there may be a difference, I know the usual heat range is from 70 up, but from the responses i've been getting from my computer it generally freezes around 60-65, i found a hint to go into HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM \CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management and change the value of secondleveldatacache to the value of my l2, which supposedly lets XP fully utilize the l2 into use instead of my l1, i tried it to no avail, i've ran a couple of google searches but i get nothing helpful either
