Default Freaking Steam

I have only been using Steam since last October and ran into a weird problem. It wouldnt connect. I did everything I could and had to reinstall Steam. In my madness while reloading Steam I forgot the stupid games loaded in the same Directory with Steam. (IMHO that is the dumbest crap I have seen. Vavle should be shot for that)

Anyways, here is my stupid question, Is it common to have to reload Steam after some time?????

I haven't been able to connect to steam all day.

Hmmm, deleted ClientRegistry.blob and it connected again.

Yea, clientregistry.blob is the magic file to delete.

But other than games not automatically updating (which is really annoying), I haven't had problems in years.

Apparently steam is throwing a fit because I've had two friends ask me about this very problem.

Great so i re-installed for nothing. ROFL. There's my lack of knowledge with Valve/Steam products. Hopefully I will remember that in the future.
