Banned by Beatnik, or: why does Voogru hire fail admins?

edit: see my following post, it explains enough. This post I deleted was borderline advice to all the people out there who fail at life and congregate on the internet. Since we hate you all, I don't think you deserve to read anything that might actually switch on that light bulb in your little almost non-existent brain of yours and guide you towards self improvement.. unless you pay me for that advice.

The cliffs were: Beatnik fails at admin, fails at life, and Voogru should remove him permanently. If I ever end up on Crazy House again, I hope Beatnik is on there so I can make him spend most of his time in the dead box. I'm sure I'll get banned for that as well.

1. Steam ID: ( 3523852 ) is not a steamid. A steamid looks like STEAM_0:x:y

2. There is really little need to throw personal attacks to the admin. Even if the admins are in the wrong, throwing a personal attack on them automagically makes you in the wrong.

3. The admin autoassign doesn't force you to red team or blue team. It just puts you on the team with the least amount of players. Admins cannot force you to red team or blue team, they are at the mercy of the autoassign tool.

4. Calling for the removal of an admin that was carefully picked by the entire admin team, not just me, is a little overboard.

5. Since beatnik banned you, generally we let the admin that issue the ban remove the bans, so just relax and we'll see what beatnik says.

The server records demos of everything, so I can physically inspect everything.

I auto assigned after noticing a good bit of people still sitting in spec, waiting to join a certain side, long after the map loaded. I didn't single you out, until you disconnected and then rejoined to force an auto balance. I then kicked you after joining the opposite team. You then rejoined and I forced you to the original team that you were assigned to.

I auto the teams. You quit/rejoin. I kick you from the team you joined, then put you on your original team and you threaten to have me removed permanently.

I didn't just auto assign you. There were several others. You were the only one that tried to force an auto balance not once but twice.

3. Auto Balance
Trying to force an auto balance is prohibited. This includes returning to the spectator after joining a team or being auto assigned, or using the retry command in console in hopes of forcing an auto balance.

You got banned for all of 10-15 mins, if that. Not even through the entire map. ( Edit:39 mins. Hydro goes so long)

Long after the map loaded? I was in spectator mode for less than a minute. The server was not full, and you yourself HADN'T EVEN JOINED A TEAM. You didn't even "auto balance" yourself to a team. And how do you know they were all "trying to join a certain side"? There was nothing special about red. My friend was on red, I wanted on red. The map had recently loaded. Everybody in spectator mode could have been AFK for all you know.

I always considered Voogru to be a decent community, thus I figured Voogru would have no problem kicking your ass out. Again, I didn't try to "force an auto balance". I told you I had a real life friend on that I wanted to play with (I see you decided to leave that quote out).... but I guess the concept of playing with real friends is foreign to you.

You "auto balanced" the teams so quickly after the map loaded, Voogru might as well just permanently put in an auto team selector. Yep, no playing with your buddies on the Voogru servers. No... no... we take steps BACKWARDS here at Voogru. Next up, we're getting rid of voice chat PERMANENTLY, just to protect you all from mic spammers. Now now.. don't thank us here at Voogru all at once.

Wow, that's awesome. But I didn't try to force an auto balance. Abusing auto balance is when people start defecting from the losing team, forcing an auto balance, then joining the other team.

And Beatnik didn't just "ban me". He abused his admin access yet again and forced a black screen on me (causing a restart), probably by exploting an sm command.

And that's rich, Voogru, telling us not to throw personal attacks at admins. The gaming community is riddled with BAD admins because as I mentioned.. gaming is in the "wild wild west" stage. Nobody is held accountable for anything. Every retard admin out there always thinks they are "awesome". So. there are no bad admins? Bad admins don't exist? Please.

We all know who these "bad" admins are. They are losers without anything resembling a real life and they use the internet to makeup for that fact. And YOU enable it by handing out admin access like candy.

Why even bother giving admin access out? votekick and voteban work exceptionally well. There is a mute function. Griefers have moved on to other games. And you'll never notice wall hackers.

There was no need for an "admin" to start screwing with the game at that point. Beatnik is a piece of trash. He isn't any different from the thousands of bad managers across this country wreaking havoc on our businesses and government organizations.

You must have a real shitty life to spend half an hour here typing up a complaint that projects all of your real life failures onto someone else because you couldn't play with a friend. If you think forcing players to join a team once the round has started is abuse worthy of such epic internet crying then you obviously haven't been around online gaming very long.

Do us all a favor and buy a two player co-op game so you can play with your friend without having to come here crying about being apart. Your attempt to redefine our clearly defined rules which have been the same for, oh, the better part of a decade is also just plain gold. The best part about reading troll threads like yours is that nobody gives a shit, because we have thousands of players every week who have no problem following our basic rules and they realize what we go through to keep out morons like yourself who have nothing better to do than bitch and moan about how you can't play with your boyfriend. Sounds to me like beatnik used autoassign to get the game moving which we are supposed to do when people are hanging in spec at the start of a round.

1. You then come in here and start with some venomous diatribe which not only question beatniks judgement and credentials, but the voogru admins and organization as a whole. Wow, just wow!

I see my friend (my REAL LIFE FRIEND... something beatnik doesn't have, am I right?) playing on Crazy House. Hey, I'll go join him! I join.. map is downloading. Here comes abusive little Beatnik, taking his frustration out on the internet. AUTO ASSIGNED TO BLUE. Uh, how'd that happen? I retry, rejoin, and find myself on Blue instantly. Then I get kicked. I wasn't sure what was going on.. so I rejoin. Auto assigned again. Beatnik tells me, "Don't do it". Meaning, he is ordering me not to try and play on Red.

At this point, the server STILL IS NOT FULL. 25-26 players. Beatnik himself is taking up a slot in spectator mode. I basically inform him that I'm trying to join a friend. It doesn't register with his neanderthal brain. I tell him he's being a prick and should realize that gaming with buddies is a staple of MULTIPLAYER gaming.

He then decides he doesn't like me and forces my TF2 into a black screen. Wow.

What's the point of auto assigning when: 1) the map just loaded 2) the server isn't full. Anybody?

You know all those stories on the internet about bad abusive admins... and yet, every admin claims to be the best admin in the world that never does any wrong? Yeah, that's Beatnik. Beatnik is one of those mentally ill people in the world that basically won't stop until somebody forceably stops them.

Oh wait.. this is where Beatnik says he banned me for "being called a Prick". Yeah, you might want to look up protected speech, buddy boy. True, these are private servers. But:

1) You do not own these servers, Voogru does.

2) If your conduct was applied to the REAL WORLD, as in, how our society is administered, it would be a step backwards. I hope very much you do not work in public service or manage ANYTHING in real life because as I already mentioned, people like you do a disservice to society.

So, sure. You have "the right" to ban people for whatever reason you want. There obviously isn't a law against it. Is it the right thing to do? Need I even answer that? Oh wait.... I forgot. I'm speaking to somebody who hates his life and job. In his world, the "right thing" is doing whatever makes him feel good, regardless of how it affects everything else.

I used to play on Voogru a ton. Even back in the Natural Selection days. Generally Voogru has great servers, so it is sad indeed to see somebody like Beatnik get rank. I don't care how long he has been playing on Voogru servers. Ranking people up because of time seniority is how you fail "in the real world". You should be giving admin status to verifiably educated intelligent people.

You didn't create this game. You operate A GAME SERVER. Through no formal agreement, developers have come to rely upon private servers to host the player population. Obviously one can find faults with a system like this. You argue that you have the right to do whatever you want. Well, you may have the "right", only because there haven't been any "laws" or rules applied to this area. Is it morally right to "do whatever you want"? No. A brand new player who buys TF2 is going to end up on some private server. Should that player be subject to the whims of a maniacal admin? Of course, there isn't currently a system to report and punish "bad" servers at this point in time.

Does anybody know who Beatnik is? Does he have a degree? Does he have a big family? A good job? Is he an old grumpy man? A respectable member of his local community? Anybody? I pose these questions for any of you other sheep who are about to start running your mouth in blind support of the "Voogru" community. Voogru is generally good, as I've stated. Beatnik is not good for the community. One incident is one too many.

I would ask that I be unbanned by Voogru himself, and that Beatnik's admin status be revoked indefinitely. You have no business managing other people, Beatnik. An equivalent decision in real life would be like... fining somebody for getting the car wet with a squirt gun despite the fact that it's about to rain. Completely illogical.

I know Beatnik won't care about this... as people like him generally aren't "forward looking" folks... but everytime undeserving people like you take advantage of the internet to disrupt other people... there is a consequence in real life. Maybe to the person who caused the problem, maybe to others like him, maybe to him and everybody like him.
