[TEAM PEGGLE] Adumar banned before he could even join a team

I was not there for this, but Adumar is easily the "calmest" of TEAM PEGGLE crew.

He said he was joining, skipping the movie, and suddenly he was kicked/banned.

I haven't been on TF2 in awhile, but I know Adumar likely didn't do anything wrong.

He was banned for being a part of the 'SA Goons' Steam group. For more on why SA is banned, see: Banned 7/5, not sure what rule I broke.

The ban is automatic so voogru will have to respond on whether or not Adumar can be made an exception.

Certain groups that have gone out of their way to cause me trouble receive instant bans upon attempting to connect to the server, if he seriously wants to play here, he must remove himself from the group and I'll unban him.

I didn't put measures in place against SA just because of that last guy, but because a lot of them came onto the server and did the same, and then to top it off, a bunch of our previous bans issued for various reasons just also happened to be SA members.

Oh, and let's not forget one of them cleverly trying to guess my password for my forum account.

Erm..I don't want to throw in "I'm a donator so I deserve special priveleges!" but TEAM PEGGLE has been playing at voogru for quite a few months now with no issue. I don't know what other SA groups have been causing a ruckus over there, but TEAM PEGGLE is mostly people I know in real life who greif minimally. Our biggest "offense" is always "mic spamming" which is an incorrectly used term for "talking enthusiastically about the game."

I ask my TEAM members to keep their antics on low when they play at voogru because I like it here, but I guess if everyone is going to get banned without them doing anything wrong, maybe I don't anymore..

When people from your community jump from server to server, exploiting vulnerabilities with the intention of crashing the server, we tend to harbor a bit or resentment.

Perhaps you should get rid of them if you want to be liked in the TF2 community. I'm sure voogru isn't the only server they've targeted.

It's nothing personal against you, we're just trying to keep lamers off the server and have found SA to have an exceptional number of them.

The responses here should only be from Admins and Sepp - to minimize any flaming. Please refrain from it.

Sepp - this isn't against TEAM PEGGLE - nor against Adumar personally - as far I know no one from PEGGLE has done anything to warrant a ban. It's the SA group that is in contention here. Because the SA group have persistently shown themselves to be people who enjoy ruining other people's gaming, measures have been taken to prevent them from joining the server. Voog has a case history of it after looking over the bans.

You and your group are welcome to play here, as long as you follow our guidelines - we have no problem with someone talking enthusiastically about TF2, we do it ourselves. Let Adumar know what voog said, remove himself from SA and things will be fine.

The issue it seems is that TEAM PEGGLE is part of SA, all their members are in the SA group at least. If it's the case, unless things change, I don't see what can be done. Again, a part of your community is spoiling it for the rest of you and that's something we can't fix.

We don't like griefers, period.

We don't want a "low" amount of griefing.

We want "no" griefing.

I don't like banning large amounts of people (especially 2000+ people), but when a bunch of them come on and cause me trouble, and then people in those groups have a history of causing trouble, I want to take actions to keep the server environment friendly.

I know we've been "warned" by people (threatening a vote-kick) for "mic spamming," but like I said, that's just being really enthusiastic. the voicechat option is there for relaying game-related messages. We don't talk about our day, we talk about where we are with the flag, and apparently people sometimes get pissed off when we update "Ok, I'm coming out of their base on the LEFT side...almost to the center," etc. I think the biggest "offense" anyone from TEAM PEGGLE has committed is saying "SEPP NOOOOOOOOOO" when someone died.

As far as I know, TEAM PEGGLE's track record is clear. We've never crashed the server (or ANY server for that matter), we've never ignored the objective of the map, and we've never done anything to warrant a ban.

Not all of SA is trash. Most is, and I understand your concern that we're bringing that trash to voogru, but Adumar, Woodsman, and I play voogru almost exclusively. Without griefing. Without crashing.

This isn't a democracy so I can't expect to be treated like a citizen with rights, but come on...TEAM PEGGLE is made up of some of the nicest guys on SA, and we don't have fun ruining the game for other people.

I'll let you guys slide, but all TEAM PEGGLE members must remove themselves from the other SA groups, otherwise they'll just get banned again.

Really, if I were you or any of your group members, I'd try to disassociate myself with the likes of SA, unlike in MMORPG's where they can pretty much roam free, in the FPS communities we have more control of who we play with, if they keep this shit up, I will further develop counter-measures against their likes and distribute it to other servers to further prevent them from playing on decent servers.
