Alleged Violation: No description, trash talking I suppose, because that's not what video games are about.

Story: I hit auto-join on the server and go get some cookies/milk, come back 2 minutes later and I'm in the server, so I'm about to join a team and I get kicked. I come back and this dude is like bro you cant spectate so i'm like yeah you're cool man, kick a server regular that has been afk in spectator for a minute tops, and i get banned for 30 days.

Pretty cool imo, power-tripping admin that i've never seen in the server

When a comment like "what, you bought yourself some admin powers and now you think you're cool?" is handed to me, I don't appreciate it. I've already talked about reducing your ban, so the hostility isn't needed in your post. Add in the fact that you then kept attacking me and not playing the game, simply because I kicked you after a warning to join a team - and then start throwing insults at me means you are going to get banned.

I understand you're a regular - but every time I see Digity player join, they sit in Spec for more than a few minutes, taking up a slot for someone else who wants to play. I give a warning or two, after no action is taken, you're booted. There was no need for you to come back in and act like an idiot after the fact.

I'll leave the decision up to Chrono or Tic for reducing your 30 days, but I'm now of the opinion that you can sit out that much.

Every time? None of us have ever seen you on this server, and I attacked you for like 5 seconds and then went on with my business, while you afked. In fact, Jim was telling me that you went spec and afked, and just sat in game telling people to join teams. Your slot could have went to someone like me that actually plays, your admin is not needed. And "a few minutes" is an extreme exaggeration, I was afk for 60 seconds, tops, because it takes me a minute to join and all I did was run downstairs to get some cookies

Ah, this is where our stories start to differ.

Not once during the course of my play time today did I switch over to Spec - nice try though. But yes, I would check on the scores to see if someone was sitting and not joining, and yes - would drop out a message for people to join. So yes, you have that part correct. But as for going Spec or afk - no, that is simply not true.

Now for the "5 secs and going about my business". While I was typing up your ban, I continued to hear your attacks - so saying that you went about your business simply is not true either.

And neither is the 60 secs tops true either. I gave a warning, waited for a bit and got no response. No I wasn't timing it to the minute, but you sat on Spec long enough for me to then kick you.

Regardless of whether or not you've seen me in the server, I have been aware of both you and Jim, and really had no problems before now - but that simply doesn't excuse you acting like an ass to me when all I did was kick you for not joining (which is stated in the rules), and then ask you to stop attacking me when you did get back in.

Not exactly the way to go about things.

If you were spectating, got kicked, then got back in, there shouldn't have been any reason for trash talking to begin with.

The first rule on the server;
1. Respect Everyone –
You are expected to respect everyone on our servers. This includes the admins. The admins are official voogru.com staff. If you disrespect the staff, community regulars, or any other player on the server, you will be banned. Any flaming (insulting) of any type on the server will result in immediate action from an admin. This behavior is no longer tolerated.

I have played with a good majority of the digity players, logged many hours with sinny, jim, fenix, and have not had any issues at all with any of them, I prefer to play with them when they are on. If you would have come here, posted, apologized, kissed and made up, I would have fully supported removing your ban, but instead you come in here and make an ass out of yourself.

And this seals it. Before you had even posted I had already started to reduce the ban, but now you're calling me a liar as well as insulting me in this thread - and I won't stand for it.

You can either wait out your 30 days now, or I can change it to a perm ban. I'm not even looking for any kind of apology from you. Just simply respect and follow the rules.

Neo, That's exactly what I was going to say. All you have to do is be civil to others, admin or player. The admins here are handpicked because they've shown that they are responsible. We ask and then kick spectators if no response after a min or two. When you're kicked, it's either because you're in spec too long or because donator kick got you. All you had to do was be civil, question your kick, get a response, move on and play the game. You chose to insult instead. Then you come on the forums and instead of apologizing, you accuse him of being power hungry.

Both shots are from far after you had been banned. The first is from dealing with Toyko Jane contacting me about your ban, the second is when I was posting and quitting playing TF2. In neither case were you online playing the game.

Screenshots courtesy of Digity.Jim, who witnessed the entire thing. It's no alibi just because I wasn't there, you accused him of AFKing too. And way to take a condescending tone about "dealing" with tokyo jane like he's a pest or something.

TF2 has an idle kick timer, so admins do not really need to kick spectators who are AFK (unless they spectate for more then 3 mins, because I don't like people just speccing all of the time).

I would have removed the ban, but I don't like your attitude.

But, I shortened it to 10 days based on the fact that your a regular and your mates seem to sound like good folks.

The only thing I am going to add is this; had you come in here, explained you were on auto-connect trying to get in the server, went and got something to eat, came back and you were kicked, finally got back in while you were mad, got frustrated, whatever, said a quick I'm sorry, the ban would probably have been removed by now and you could be playing now. But coming here, calling him a power tripping admin is not what I would expect from you or any other regular on the servers. I like the digity players, I've been playing this game with sinny, jim and fenix for a long while, they are fun to play with and pretty good at getting stuff organized, I would have expected a little more then that from you steve.

I think the situation has clearly been discussed enough. Voogru has made his decision. If there is anything else that needs to be raised, please do it through PRIVATE MESSAGE.

Just a few things I want to say here though. First, it's a privilege to play and post on the voogru servers/forums, not a right. As TiC has mentioned before, anybody can be banned for anything at the lift of a finger. It is therefore important for all players to be cautious in how they act on the servers, and also on the forums. This does not mean that one cannot express their feelings or discontent. However, it is in how they go about doing it which is most vital. Please be aware of this.

Next, I want everybody to remember that voogru and I chose these admins very carefully. This does not mean that admins have the right to do anything to anyone, and that they are perfect people in every decision they make. Indeed, they often make mistakes, as do I. However, it is important to respect them, because altogether, they are, like myself, trying to keep the servers fun and competitive for all. They are officiall voogru.com staff, and are expected to be treated as such. I want to make clear, not one of them are trying to ruin anybody's fun. I want everybody to remember this.
