Default Re: playing on a laptop

I've got a Dell Latitude D830.
Core 2 Duo @ 2.4 GHz
4 GB RAM
NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M / 512 MB
Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer for Bluetooth
Plantronics DSP-400 - USB Headset
And the FANG gamepad I linked to earlier

I play wired when possible, but 90% of the time I play wireless (good signal strength and you'll be fine)

Runs about everything I want to run on it. TF2 runs outstanding in most cases and frame lag is almost never an issue. When you get into trouble is when you try to run games while on battery. Even with every setting set to 'performance' instead of longer battery life, it is now my belief that ALL laptops running on batteries run slower than when plugged in. I guess it has something to do with the mobile versions of the processors and chipsets in laptops.

Plug it in to power to play, a cooling pad can't hurt either. I got this one: Newegg.com - Antec Black Notebook Cooler w/ Two Ball-bearing Fans Model NOTEBOOKCOOLER - Laptop Accessories
